Welcome to Lancashire Artists' Network (LAN)

Lancashire Artists’ Network (LAN) supports and promote the interests of professional visual artists, living or working in Lancashire. Artists are at the heart of LAN. The network connects globally and across Lancashire.

  •  It offers opportunities for dialogue and debate through our newsletter, web site and programme of events often staged in collaboration with partner organizations.

  • It encourages the exchange of practical up to date information about galleries, funding, education, tax, suppliers and studio/workshop spaces.

  • We facilitate mentoring partnerships.

  • We encourage and support opportunities for new initiatives, collaborations and  exhibition projects.

The membership of LAN includes contemporary art practitioners with specialisms in a broad range of visual disciplines extending across media. They work with film, photography, paint, print, design, installation, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, glass, sound and digital technology.

Lancashire is rich in culture, with the potential for a thriving creative economy. LAN  reflects this through its positive attitude to change and diversity. We have the collective ability to move forward and respond to both opportunity and challenge.

It is free to register on www.lanarts.com  at the moment but will cost £10 in the near future when we set up a membership scheme.

For more information contact Celia Cross, the LAN Development Co-ordinator via the contact form.

Items for the newsletter should be sent to Chris Young cyoung6@mac.com
